Introducing Bangwing's Custom Bot: Elevating Your Discord Experience

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our custom-built, proprietary bot for the Bangwing Discord server, designed to enhance your experience while prioritizing server security. This new bot introduces a range of exciting features tailored exclusively for our community, replacing the untrusted public bots we previously relied on. Our goal is to phase out all public bots to ensure a safer and more secure environment for everyone.

Key features of our new bot include:

Voice Channel Roles: Users in voice channels will automatically receive the @invc. role, granting access to the #voicetext channel. Messages typed in this channel will be voiced in the corresponding voice channel via an AI-powered bot. The @invc. role comes with a distinctive icon visible to all members, even those without ranks. For bots in voice channels, the @taken. role, featuring a lock icon, indicates whether the music bot is in use or available.

Activity-Based Roles: Our bot enhances user profiles with status-specific roles, each accompanied by a unique role icon badge visible to all members. These include @playing. for users engaged in gaming, @streaming. for those streaming content, @chilling. for users watching something, and @vibing. for those listening to music on platforms like Spotify.

Community Promotion Role: Members who promote Bangwing by including phrases such as "On freq @bangwings," "Bangwing IN," "Search Bangwing IN," ".gg/bangwings," or any valid server invite link in their status or bio will be awarded the @The Dragons role. This role grants basic permissions and features a unique badge to showcase your support for our community.

By developing our own bot, we have taken a significant step toward eliminating reliance on external, unverified bots, reinforcing our commitment to a secure and enjoyable server environment. We will continue to refine and expand our bot’s capabilities to further enhance your experience.
